Jason and I celebrated 3 years of marriage on January 14, 2009 and we planned a get-a-way at our good friend, John's plantation. We would also be leaving Grayson for his first ever over night trip, lucky for us we have his Grandma Sha so close in Thomasville, Georgia!
So, we packed up and headed north to Quitman, Georgia where we had dinner with John, Grandma Sha, Thomas, Aunt Lela, Uncle Jay, and Hannan. Mexican food never tasted so good and of course the company made it all the more special!
In the 3 years we have been married and the previous 5 years of dating, I feel I have been blessed to see Jason grow in so many ways, and while on our mini trip we talked about what the things we learned about one another after we got married. Most of it was little things we laughed at, like how he doesn't put his clothes in the hamper but rather right beside it.
But really we feel as though every day brings opportunity for us to become closer and enjoy our life together. There will always be days where loving one another as Jesus loves us (agape love) may seem hard to do and then there will be the days where it just flows from us so easily. No matter what the goal each day is the same, we both are constantly trying to put the other's will before our own. That means a sacrifice that is nothing compared to what Jesus did on the cross for us. We can't wait to see what 2009 brings for the Faircloths three!
